Description:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Electrical Engineer / Programmer to join our team!  The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply electrical theory, related knowledge and practical application to the following:

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • DesignUL508A Industrial Control Panels
  • Create industrial Wiring Diagrams, Bills of Material, and Layouts for Industrial Control Panels
  • Support UL508A Panel Shop, testing and operations of electrical machinery and controls
  • Ability to collaborate with Test and Production to support internal and external customer requirements
  • Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality standards and procedures
  • Apply knowledge of electrical standards and principles to maintain high product quality
  • Support UL508A panels and programming microprocessor controllers, PLC’s and VFD’s
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with panel operation, PLC programs, and VFD parameter sets for internal and external customers
  • Develop and implement testing and qualifying procedures related to electrical components and electrical control schemes
  • Continually improve assembly and performance of electrical systems within the company
  • Properly track and document all details of UL 508A Panel Shop
  • Coordinate with and support onsite UL508A Panel Shop
  • Communicate with vendors to source electrical components and achieve desired component quality
  • Recommend improvements to design In order to improve product quality

Preferred Experience:

  • One to three (1-3) years of related experience
  • Understanding of Three Phase Power and AC Motors
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret code books and customer specifications
  • Understanding and application experience of UL practices to conform to UL standards
  • Proficient in computer applications including CAD operation using AutoCAD
  • Ability to create industrial Wiring Diagrams utilizing AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Ability to effectively interface with vendors, test, production, and quality inspection to achieve desired product quality
  • Ability to support internal and external customer requirements
  • PLC Programming and knowledge of Industrial Communications Standards
  • Effective, professional oral and written communication
  • May require limited travel

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology - equivalent experience may be substituted.
