AquaSeal - Level Switch - Wiring Instructions

Issue: How to wire a high-level or low-level switch on an AquaSeal water-sealed liquid ring vacuum pump system

Each AquaSeal water-sealed liquid ring vacuum pump system is tested and checked at the factory prior to shipment to ensure trouble-free operation. In the unlikely event you encounter a problem; we recommend that you consult with your local distributor for parts/service. Remember, when calling for service, parts, or system information always have the pump or system model number and serial number ready.

WARNING! Before attempting any repairs, disconnect all power from the system by switching off power at the main breaker or disconnect switch. Always use appropriate Lock Out - Tag Out procedures.

Full recovery AquaSeal systems are equipped with a level switch for indicating low water level in the separator tank. When the switch closes on low water level, it activates the seal-water make-up solenoid to add make-up water to the separator tank.

Low-Level Switch — to be wired normally, open to close on low seal water level. Include a 15-second activation delay timer in the circuit to prevent nuisance shutdowns caused by turbulence. Wires on part number 6910-0100-000 (standard level switch) are identified as:

  • Black = common
  • Red = normally closed
  • Blue = normally open

Each level switch has an arrow stamped into the side of the switch. For proper operation, the arrow must face down.
