Vmax - Level Switch - Wiring Instructions

Each Vmax system is tested and checked at the factory prior to shipment to ensure trouble-free operation. In the unlikely event you encounter a problem, we recommend that you consult with your local distributor for parts/service. Remember, when calling for service, parts or system information, always have the pump or system model number and serial number ready.

WARNING! Before attempting any repairs, disconnect all power from the system by switching off power at the main breaker or disconnect switch. Always use appropriate Lock Out - Tag Out procedures.

Standard Vmax systems may be equipped with the optional level switches for high- or low-oil level shutdown. The same switch is used for either high level or low level, depending on how it is wired.

High-Level Switch — To be wired normally, closed to open, on high oil-level. Include a 15-second activation delay timer in the circuit to prevent nuisance shutdowns caused by turbulence. The level switch should shut down the pump.

Low Level Switch — To be wired normally, open to closed, on low-oil level. Include a 15-second activation delay timer in the circuit to prevent nuisance shutdowns caused by turbulence. The level switch should shut down the pump.

Wires on part number 6910-0100-000 (standard level switch) are identified as:

Black = common
Red = normally closed
Blue = normally open

Each level switch has an arrow stamped into the side of the switch. For proper operation, the arrow must face down.
