Duratex Synthetic Food Grade Vacuum Pump Oil For Rotary Vane Pumps

Duratex Synthetic/Foodgrade is a custom-formulated lubricant specifically designed for long life under the severe, demanding conditions usually encountered in recirculating systems such as rotary vane vacuum pumps and systems. The fluid is authorized by the USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants with no possibility of food contact (H2).

This sealing fluid is a custom-blended polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic hydrocarbon with improved lubrication at high and low temperatures, reduced volatility, and compatibility with mineral oils and equipment designed for use with mineral oil.

Some of the advantages are:

  • Long life
  • Improved performance
  • Exceptional stability
  • Low evaporation loss
  • Viscosity stability
  • Improved economy
  • Lower equipment maintenance
  • Rust and corrosion inhibited
  • Thermal and hydrolytic stability
  • Consistent quality
  • Resistance to carbon buildup
  • Low sludging tendency
  • Less frictional drag
  • Less downtime
  • Specially formulated to reduce oil carryover

If you need to replace standard Duratex oil with the Duratex Synthetic/Foodgrade oil, it is recommended to drain the oil and refill. If the requirement is no silicon or sulfur in the oil at all, then it is recommended to drain the Duratex Standard oil, refill the system with Duratex Synthetic/Foodgrade oil and run the system until it reaches normal operating temperature. Drain to flush all of the standard Vmax oil from all the low-lying areas, then refill again with Duratex Synthetic/Foodgrade oil.

To replace Duratex synthetic food grade oil with Duratex standard oil, simply drain the Duratex synthetic food grade oil and refill with Duratex standard oil.

Remember, when calling for service, parts, or system information, always have the pump or system model number and serial number ready.
