DEKKER Vacuum Solutions for Candy/Confectionery Processing

We understand the year-round manufacturing demand of candies and can custom-engineer Vacuum Systems to ensure your product isn’t affected by loss of color, aroma or flavor.

At DEKKER, we work closely with our customers and understand it is imperative to have resilient, high-quality, low-maintenance equipment at a low cost. That is why we provide Food Industry Vacuum Solutions with a focus on reliable performance, sustainability and safety. Take advantage of our Vacuum Performance Assessment and allow our experts to evaluate your existing equipment.

From the people who pioneered the first oil-sealed Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump System, our Vmax and Vmax LT are the result of years of research and experience in design, manufacture, operation and application of this equipment. The main advantage of this system is that the use of water – and the corrosion and waste associated with it – has been completely eliminated. DEKKER’s patented DX-5™ and DX-7 air/oil separator virtually eliminates oil carry-over concerns and ensures the cleanest environment. DEKKER has the expertise to design, custom-engineer and package to your specifications.

At the heart of the Vmax Systems is the Titan Series high-efficiency single-stage Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 quality-control standards, offering excellent reliability for a wide array of Food applications.

Many of our Vmax systems have been in operation for over 15 years, with the original pump installed, and are operating optimally without a major overhaul. These systems were created to handle water ingestion, and are the preferred pump to use on wet, saturated vapor service.

Particular Vacuum Applications of Importance:

Candy / Confectionary Processing -

Hard candies often contain corn sugars and sorbitol, both of which are highly hygroscopic (tending to absorb moisture from the air). When humidity is high, the product can absorb moisture and become sticky, which can cause it to stick to the packaging machinery and wrapping material, slowing the process and creating sanitary problems. Any coated candy can benefit from using vacuum to rapidly increase drying. Our Vacuum Solutions specifically target issues surrounding processing and packaging.

Candy-making dates back to the beginning of civilization, but with our Vacuum technologies, we have made great strides to streamline this process.
